About me

"Soul Painting" - It's the record of my journey as I live in the present.
An encounter with "illness" led to an encounter with "soul paintings."
A body that had been healthy up until that point is suddenly struck by illness.
Fourteen years ago, at the age of 26, I suddenly collapsed and lost hearing in my right ear. Six years later, I experienced unexplained numbness all over my body. The numbness and pain were constant, lasting 24 hours a day, and I wandered between life and death.
During those dark days filled with pain and anxiety, I unconsciously picked up a pen and started drawing, as if I were escaping, or as if I were pouring something out onto the paper.
It was a moment of healing for me, a moment when I found a ray of hope.
I had never drawn or even thought about drawing before.
As I was drawing, I realized that something like a soul was flowing into the picture from "a world that only I can see."
It felt as if I wasn't "drawing" but rather being "drawn" by something.
I named it "Soul Painting" because I wanted to convey this feeling.
"Soul Painting" is the very essence of living.
The numbness and pain in my body still persist.
But for me, creating "Soul Paintings" is like "breathing" and gives me a "sense of being alive."
It was also through expressing my thoughts through "soul paintings" that I became aware of the "preciousness of life" and the "diversity of ways of living."
It's okay to be different from each other.
It doesn't have to be fast.
Just live in the moment and make it your own.
I believe that it is in that form that the "soul" resides, and that is why I continue to draw.
My "soul paintings" are imbued with the prayers and thoughts hidden deep within my heart, as well as the emotions and changes I experience from moment to moment.
That's why each and every piece of work is...
"The Path I've Taken Living in the Present."
Through "Soul Painting," you will experience a moment of resonance with "something" within yourself.
That's what it means to me, to "Soul Painting".
It will be the happiest moment of all.
I am grateful for this opportunity.
Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart.
